Jaguar Mining Receives Federal Authorization for Turmalina Mine Work

Jaguar Mining Inc. has received approval from Brazil's National Mining Agency to initiate preparatory work at its Turmalina mine. Operations there had been halted since December 2024 due to an incident at the Satinoco dry-stacked pile. This authorization allows the company to begin essential safety work, like developing a secondary access route and modifying the mine's ventilation system. These efforts are part of a phased plan to resume production by early 2026.

The federal approval follows a municipal permit, reinforcing strategic actions to restart operations. Additionally, Jaguar is finalizing an agreement with the Public Prosecutor's Office, including an independent audit for safety verification. With permits in place and an ongoing structured process, Jaguar anticipates a safe resumption of operations once remaining suspensions are lifted.
