Stock price chart of Jaguar Health, Inc. (EBR:JAGX) showing fluctuations.

Jaguar Health's Napo Pharmaceuticals is providing oral crofelemer for an infant with congenital sodium diarrhea, a condition related to intestinal failure (IF). The therapy aims to reduce the patient's need for parenteral support (PS). Jaguar's development program focuses on crofelemer as adjunctive therapy for rare pediatric IF diseases, including microvillus inclusion disease (MVID).

Napo's data, presented at the 2026 ESPGHAN meeting, showed a reduction in PS needs for pediatric IF patients using crofelemer. The therapy demonstrated a 48% reduction in PS for an MVID patient. Jaguar plans to pursue Breakthrough Therapy Designation for MVID and expects to file a New Drug Application with the FDA by mid-2027.

Jaguar emphasizes its commitment to its global IF program, seeking non-dilutive funds via business partnerships. The company aims to offer innovative solutions for managing rare IF diseases, fostering collaborations with healthcare providers for improved patient outcomes.
