IONOS Group SE Initiates Strategic Transformation and Workforce Adjustment

IONOS Group SE has announced a strategic transformation program aimed at aligning with market opportunities and fostering growth. This initiative involves the consolidation of technical platforms and the application of artificial intelligence in internal workflows. A significant aspect of the program is the reduction of the workforce from approximately 3,800 to 3,350 employees.

The workforce adjustment will be carried out via voluntary redundancy programs, designed to be socially responsible and in collaboration with employee representatives. The restructuring will equally impact domestic and international operations. A special one-time restructuring expense of EUR 35 million is anticipated in 2026, though this will not affect the adjusted EBITDA guidance of EUR 530 million.

From 2027, the program is expected to yield annual cost savings up to EUR 30 million, intended for reinvestment in AI product development and cloud business expansion.
