Inventiva reveals progress at the AASLD The Liver Meeting 2026

Inventiva announced its participation in the AASLD The Liver Meeting 2026 with three scientific abstracts. These presentations focus on lanifibranor, their investigational treatment for metabolic steatohepatitis (MASH). Preclinical and Phase 2b clinical data demonstrate balanced activation of the PPARα, PPARδ, and PPARγ isoforms, acting on several pathological mechanisms of MASH, including liver fibrosis.

Among the shared findings, lanifibranor improves hepatic endothelial cells and modifies vascular abnormalities at various stages of the disease. Analysis of circulating cell-free DNA in patients with MASH also shows epigenetic alterations, justifying the PPAR-centric therapeutic approach.
