Intershop Communications AG Experiences Revenue Decline but Sees Potential in AI
Intershop Communications AG has adjusted its guidance following the release of its H1 2025 financial results. The company faced a revenue drop of 9.5% year-on-year, reaching EUR 17.2 million. This decline was attributed to weak new customer acquisition, reduced cloud orders, and the end of a significant customer contract. Furthermore, service revenues dwindled due to project shifts and delays, compounded by negative currency impacts.
As a result, Intershop forecasts a revenue decrease of 10%-15% year-over-year and anticipates a negative EBIT in the low single-digit million EUR range. Despite these challenges, management is optimistic about cost-saving measures and AI-driven innovations that could bolster growth.
