Intershop Communications AG Announces CEO Markus Klahn's Departure
On August 25, 2025, Intershop Communications AG announced a significant change in its Management Board. CEO Markus Klahn will leave the company at the end of August 31, 2025, at his own request and due to personal reasons. Klahn joined the board in 2018 as COO before becoming CEO in 2021. His contributions have shaped corporate strategy and its implementation at Intershop.
The Supervisory Board revealed that Markus Dränert, the current COO, will succeed Klahn as CEO starting September 1, 2025. This leadership transition marks a new chapter for Intershop Communications AG as they continue to evolve in the dynamic tech industry.
