International Battery Metals Ltd. (IBAT), a company specializing in direct lithium extraction systems, has announced a change in its auditing firm. CBIZ CPAs P.C., the former auditor, was dismissed on June 24, 2026. Grant Thornton LLP has been appointed as the new auditor, effective immediately.

Throughout two recent financial years, the former auditor provided unmodified opinions in its reports. However, IBAT identified a material weakness in its financial reporting controls during the fiscal year ending March 2025. This issue was addressed in the subsequent fiscal year, as noted in the company's annual reports.

According to the board, no other significant reportable events are related to this auditor change under NI 51-102 regulations. The company will file necessary documentation on SEDAR+ upon receipt.
