10th Belt & Road Summit Highlights Hong Kong's Role as Key Hub

The 10th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong welcomed 6,200 participants to celebrate a decade of the Belt and Road Initiative (B&RI). Organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the event's theme was "Collaborate for Change – Shape a Shared Future."

Chief Executive John Lee emphasized Hong Kong’s pivotal role as a hub for B&RI. The summit saw 45 memoranda of understanding and commercial agreements, amounting to nearly USD 1 billion in value. Over 100 Belt and Road companies are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, affirming its financial influence.

Nicholas Ho, the Commissioner for Belt and Road, highlighted thematic sessions focusing on trade, finance, and green initiatives. The summit period also featured 20 related events, spanning culture, sports, and commerce, underlining Hong Kong's global connectivity.
