Iliad is moving forward with its acquisition of SFR

Iliad, Free's parent company, has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire SFR from Altice France, alongside Bouygues Telecom and Orange. This acquisition would increase its subscriber base to nearly 31 million in France, strengthening its market position. More than 8 million subscribers and 50 MHz of spectrum would be added to Free's portfolio, reinforcing its challenger status. This move will support its innovation and investment strategy, aiming to establish itself among the leading European operators.

The acquisition would benefit from secured financing of €6.5 billion, allowing the group to maintain its financial discipline while increasing its investment capacity. It could generate an additional €2 billion in revenue.

The transaction is still subject to the necessary regulatory approvals. Iliad emphasizes that this merger will be carried out while maintaining its commitment to quality service and competitive prices for consumers.
