Huntington Bank Expands with International Corporate Banking Group

Huntington Bank, based in Columbus, Ohio, announced the creation of an international corporate banking group. This initiative aims to support foreign multinational companies and their U.S. subsidiaries in expanding or starting operations in the United States. The new division will offer a range of services, including lending, global trade, and treasury solutions, targeting both U.S. subsidiaries and their global parent organizations.

Suneel Gill, with over 20 years in international banking, leads the new group as the senior managing director. Huntington plans to open a representative office in London later this year to enhance business development efforts.

Gordon DeKuyper, a senior executive at Huntington, highlighted Gill's expertise in building international relationships as crucial for expanding the bank's cross-border capabilities. This move aligns with increasing foreign direct investment in the U.S. and aims to simplify international operations for global firms entering the market.
