Huawei Introduces Quantum-Secure Network Solution

Huawei has unveiled its Xinghe Intelligent Traffic-Encryption Integration Solution at MWC Barcelona 2026. This solution integrates network intelligence with quantum security to combat quantum security threats and reduce enterprise network costs. The innovation aims to assist global industries in transitioning to quantum-secure systems efficiently.

Fernando Lopez Montes, IP CTO at Huawei Spain, emphasized the need for intelligent, efficient, and secure communication networks amid the rise of quantum computing threats. He highlighted the cost-effective and highly secure nature of Huawei's solution for various industries.

With quantum computers arriving earlier than expected, industries like finance face heightened security risks. Traditional quantum key solutions are costly, hindering widespread adoption. Huawei addresses these barriers with two breakthroughs in their solution.

The first breakthrough introduces the industry's first integrated QKD board for quantum and communication networks. It simplifies infrastructure by embedding quantum security directly into existing systems. The second breakthrough uses a high-precision noise reduction algorithm to unify signals through a single fiber, cutting investment costs significantly.
