Huawei Unveils HiSecEngine USG6000G Series Firewalls at MWC Barcelona 2026

Huawei launched its HiSecEngine USG6000G series firewalls at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on March 5, 2026. The series marks a significant advancement in Huawei's network security offerings, following the E and F series. These new firewalls include three 2U fixed-configuration models and four desktop G-series variants, designed for diverse enterprise needs.

The USG6800G fixed-configuration firewalls are optimized for large enterprise headquarters, delivering up to 135 Gbps in threat protection. This performance is reportedly double that of comparable products. The USG6500G series offers integrated firewall, router, and switch functions, catering to multi-branch scenarios with added 5G and PoE power support.

The series promises a 95% detection rate for unknown threats, utilizing intelligent security computing and inline security algorithms. The introduction of phishing webpage detection further enhances its threat mitigation capabilities.
