Huawei Collaborates with Meralco and SANXING Ningbo for Power System Innovation

During MWC2026 in Barcelona, Huawei, alongside Meralco and SANXING Ningbo, introduced the Intelligent Distribution Solution (IDS) and a collaborative initiative to enhance power systems. These innovations aim to propel distribution networks through advanced communication, digitalization, and AI technologies.

David Sun, CEO of Huawei's Electric Power Digitalization BU, emphasized the need for robust networks and policy shifts to support green energy and resilient grids. The IDS, based on a cloud-pipe-edge-device architecture, aims to transform outdated systems into efficient networks with reduced line losses and enhanced renewables management. This collaboration seeks to set new benchmarks in scalability and digital transformation.
