Huawei Aims to Transform Network Value in the AI Era

During the Broadband Development Congress held in Vienna, Huawei's Bob Chen highlighted the necessity of adapting network infrastructure and business models to meet the demands of the AI era. Focusing on three key aspects—Rebuilding network architecture, Reshaping business models, and Redefining network O&M—Chen presented a vision for the future of network value and growth.

He emphasized a shift from traditional region-based networks to AI Data Center (AIDC)-centered ones, as seen in China's Zhongwei, now a crucial computing hub. For enterprises, Chen proposed upgrading services from bandwidth-centric offerings to packages including latency and reliability. For home users, the strategy is transitioning to intelligent home networking.

Chen also underscored the role of AI in network maintenance and optimization, suggesting potential power savings and enhanced fault self-healing capacities.
