Horizon Aircraft Appoints Richard Alexander as Chief Engineer
Horizon Aircraft announced the appointment of Richard Alexander as Chief Engineer of Certified Programs. Alexander, a seasoned expert with experience at Bombardier, Vertical Aerospace, and CAE, will lead the development and certification of Horizon’s hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft, the Cavorite X7. This strategic move is expected to advance the company’s certification strategy and commercialization plans.
Alexander has a strong track record managing technical projects in aircraft design and certification. At Horizon, he will collaborate with Co-Founder Brian Robinson to deliver a certifiable and operational aircraft. His recent role involved the battery-electric conversion of the Piper Archer.
