Homann Holzwerkstoffe Adjusts 2026 Forecast Amid Financial Pressures

Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH has revised its full-year forecast for 2026, citing weaker first-half results. The company's preliminary half-year figures show an adjusted EBITDA of EUR -1.4 million, a significant drop from EUR 22.1 million the previous year. Key factors include ongoing high start-up losses at their Lithuanian plant and decreased demand in the furniture industry.

Operational costs have surged due to the Middle East conflict, impacting chemicals, timber, energy, and transport. To mitigate losses, Homann plans to adjust capacity temporarily at the Lithuanian plant, expecting a reduction in losses by EUR 5 to 6 million in the second half.

The full-year revenue projection remains steady at around EUR 383 million, while adjusted EBITDA is revised to EUR 10-15 million, down from the previous estimate. The company's updated financial expectations reflect continued geopolitical uncertainties and cost challenges. Full half-year results will be disclosed on September 11, 2026.
