HMS Bergbau AG Reports Preliminary 2025 Financial Results
HMS Bergbau AG has revealed its preliminary figures for the 2025 financial year. The company recorded sales of EUR 1.22 billion, slightly below the previous year's EUR 1.36 billion, primarily due to lower commodity prices. Despite this, EBITDA saw a significant boost, tripling to EUR 59.4 million. This dramatic increase is largely attributed to the transition from German GAAP to IFRS accounting standards and the initial consolidation of Maatla Resources, generating approximately EUR 37 million in one-time valuation effects.
The company's equity rose substantially to EUR 136.5 million, with its equity ratio increasing from 23.2% to 38.2%. HMS continues its strategic transformation into a diversified commodities entity, with significant operations in coal trading, liquid fuels, ores, and cement, while expanding its mining ventures. This broadened scope aims to enhance market resilience and service offerings.
