HDF Energy and Topsoe partner for a low-carbon energy project in the United States
HDF Energy has chosen the Danish group Topsoe to equip its 250 MW power plant, BaseBlue Power™, scheduled for 2030. Located in Texas, it aims to provide low carbon electricity to data centers, using hydrogen and fuel cells.
BaseBlue Power™ addresses the growing electricity demand of data centers by producing 400 tons of hydrogen per day from natural gas, with 98% carbon captured. This project, which uses no gas turbines, will employ PEM fuel cells to deliver reliable power.
Leveraging Topsoe's SynCOR™ technology, HDF Energy plans to replicate this model at other sites. The modularity of BaseBlue Power™ adapts to the growing energy needs of digital infrastructures.
