HDBank Finalizes $100 Million Green Bond Issuance

HDBank has completed its $100 million international green bond issuance by releasing a $50 million tranche to Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank and British International Investment. This follows the initial tranche issued to the International Finance Corporation. These activities support HDBank's strategy for sustainable growth and funding diversification.

Comprising $30 million privately issued to FMO and $20 million to BII, the bonds are non-convertible, unsecured, and have a three-year term. The funds will support green initiatives like solar energy, electric vehicles, and energy-saving projects, expected to cut 102,000 tons of CO₂ over a decade.

This initiative is considered a major development in Vietnam's sustainable finance sector. It highlights the commitment to sustainable development, aiming to expand HDBank's climate finance portfolio and enhance Vietnam's economic advancement.
