Hapag-Lloyd Adjusts Earnings Outlook Amid Strong Market Demand

Hapag-Lloyd AG has revised its earnings outlook for the fiscal year 2026, citing strong market demand and an increase in spot freight rates. The company's Executive Board now estimates the Group EBITDA to range from USD 2.7 to 3.7 billion, a rise from the previous forecast of USD 1.1 to 3.1 billion. Similarly, the Group EBIT is projected between USD 0.1 to 1.1 billion, improving on the earlier estimate of USD -1.5 to 0.5 billion. In Euro terms, EBITDA expectations are set at EUR 2.3 to 3.2 billion, with EBIT anticipated between EUR 0.1 to 1.0 billion.

This optimistic forecast comes amid volatile freight rates and notable geopolitical challenges, leading to significant uncertainty in the market environment. Investors and stakeholders may find further information in the 2025 Annual Report.
