HAL Allergy Completes Phase III Study on Dust Mite Allergy
HAL Allergy B.V. has finalized a significant Phase III study focused on house dust mite allergies, a prevalent cause of allergic rhinitis, often linked to asthma. This condition affects millions globally, impacting sleep, concentration, and daily activities. Conducted across various European centers, this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involved 691 patients.
Results revealed substantial improvements in allergy symptoms and quality of life compared to the placebo. HAL Allergy aims to present these findings to regulatory bodies and scientific communities for evaluation. CEO Philip Boehme highlighted that this study marks an essential step in advancing treatment options.
Additionally, Prof. Oliver Pfaar emphasized the importance of interpreting these findings in the context of allergen immunotherapy. HAL Allergy plans to publish the results in a peer-reviewed journal in late 2026.
