Gurit Secures Contract for Advanced Wind Turbine Reinforcements

Gurit Holding AG, a Swiss composite materials specialist, has announced a two-year contract with a prominent wind turbine manufacturer in the Asia-Pacific region. This deal, valued at over CHF 10 million, involves the supply of Gurit's glass pultruded blade root reinforcement solutions.

With the increasing size of wind turbine blades, structural demands are rising, prompting manufacturers to seek advanced reinforcement options. Gurit's pultruded reinforcements are engineered for specific blade models, offering enhanced bonding at critical junctions and reducing sheath failure risks. The design supports smaller, lighter root structures without compromising their strength.
