Grid Battery Completes Acquisition of Copper Property in British Columbia
Grid Battery Metals Inc. has finalized its acquisition of a 100% interest in 17 copper mineral claims from AC/DC Battery Metals Inc. The property, spanning 27,525.24 hectares, is located in North Central British Columbia, an area known for its mining activity and infrastructure. The transaction was structured as a "related party" transaction, with common officers between the companies.
As part of the acquisition terms, Grid Battery issued 5,000,000 shares to AC/DC and covered $48,172.15 in staking costs. The shares are subject to a hold period until July 2025. Grid Battery President and CEO, Tim Fernback, stated that the approval of this transaction is a benefit to shareholders, allowing for future exploration steps detailed in their technical report.
The company's focus on exploration for battery metals aligns with its strategy to support the electric vehicle market, and this acquisition represents a strategic expansion in a promising mining region.
