Grenke Reports Strong Earnings Growth in H1 2026
Grenke AG announced a 24.8% increase in Group earnings for the first half of 2026, reaching EUR 32.6 million compared to EUR 26.2 million in the same period last year. This increase is attributed to an 11% rise in operating income to EUR 352.6 million, alongside a modest 1.5% rise in costs.
The leasing new business reached EUR 1,644.9 million, marking a 1.4% increase from the previous year. However, the CM2 margin fell to 15.9%, impacted by interest rate changes and global uncertainties.
Despite the challenges, the company's cost-income ratio improved substantially to 51.6% due to strict cost management. Nevertheless, the loss rate remained high at 2.0%, reflecting the broader economic uncertainties.
Grenke continues to foresee Group earnings between EUR 74 million and EUR 86 million for 2026, with leasing new business expected at the lower end of EUR 3.4 to EUR 3.6 billion.
