Grande Portage Resources Receives US Forest Service Approval for 2026 Drilling at New Amalga Gold Property

Grande Portage Resources Ltd. has secured approval from the US Forest Service for its 2026 Plan of Operations at the New Amalga Gold property in Southeast Alaska. The planned activities include 4,300 meters of diamond drilling across 14 drillholes, with additional tasks such as surface mapping and trench sampling. This initiative aims to upgrade resource classification and gather essential geotechnical and hydrogeological data for environmental assessments and mine development planning.

The New Amalga Gold Project is located 25 km from Juneau, Alaska. It holds an Indicated Resource of 1,438,500 ounces of gold and an Inferred Resource of 515,700 ounces, with a strategy centered on a small-footprint underground mining operation. Processing is planned offsite, minimizing environmental impact by eliminating onsite gold recovery plants and tailings storage facilities.

The company plans to begin drilling in late June, following evaluation of proposals from drilling contractors. The project also includes collaboration with Goldbelt Inc. for the development of an ore export terminal. A preliminary economic assessment is anticipated in the first quarter of 2026.
