GoldenPeaks Capital and Huawei to Enhance Renewable Energy with BESS Projects in Europe

GoldenPeaks Capital (GPC), a major independent power producer in Central Eastern Europe, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei Polska for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) collaboration. This agreement focuses on the implementation of a 500MWh BESS to address grid stability challenges as renewable energy integration increases.

Huawei will provide advanced Grid Forming energy storage technology, aiming to support GPC’s strategy in Europe, particularly in Poland and Hungary. GPC's significant investments in renewable energy have already reached notable milestones, such as a 1GW Asset Target and expanding its renewable portfolio with additional BESS projects.

This collaboration leverages the strengths of both entities, with Huawei's proven technology combined with GPC's market expertise to aid the ongoing energy transition in Europe. The partnership's success establishes a framework for future utility-scale BESS projects across GPC's markets, reinforcing the company's presence and commitment to sustainability in the region.
