Gold Terra Reports Visible Gold Discovery in Sonic Drilling
Gold Terra Resource Corp has announced the presence of visible gold in drill hole CMUP-005 at the historical Con Mine tailings in Yellowknife. This discovery, made at a depth of 25-26 metres, is part of a 7,000-metre drilling program initiated on September 19. The program, with 17 holes and 429 metres drilled so far, aims to assess the gold potential in the tailings, a significant area due to its historical ore processing.
Gold Terra's option to acquire 100% of the Con Mine Option (CMO) from Newmont Corporation remains valid until November 2027. The company views the tailings as a viable source of additional gold ounces, considering the past recoveries and current stockpile of low-grade ore.
The ongoing sonic drilling program targets a 40x40 metre grid to determine the tailings' gold content and support future processing plant operations. The program will provide valuable data for metallurgical tests and potential gold recovery assessments.
