GECC Collaborates with Pure Group on Surrey Education Mega Centre

Global Education Communities Corp. (GECC) has announced a partnership with Pure Group of Companies for the development of the GEC Education Mega Centre in Surrey, BC. With a $330 million construction budget, the project aims to provide essential housing and educational facilities. This initiative addresses the housing shortage reported in Metro Vancouver, with rental vacancy rates as low as 0.8%.

The Mega Centre will feature 43 floors of rental units for 1,380 occupants, focusing on student and faculty accommodations. The strategic location near several educational institutions, such as Simon Fraser University and the future UBC Surrey Campus, enhances its appeal to domestic and international students.

Pure Group will handle the development's financing and construction, while GECC will manage operations under the GEC® brand. The collaboration aims to foster further student housing developments in Vancouver.
