GLN International Integrates with Vietnam's National QR Network

GLN International has announced its integration with Vietnam's nationwide QR payment network in collaboration with NAPAS. This initiative enables seamless QR payments across Vietnam via home-market banking and fintech apps, eliminating the need for currency exchange. A launch ceremony was held on April 23 in Vietnam, attended by key financial institutions including the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and Hana Bank.

The integration facilitates payment access for partner app users, enhancing the network's reach across popular tourist cities like Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Users can transact using GLN-connected apps such as Toss and Hana Money. The expansion to platforms like Naver Pay is anticipated. Furthermore, Vietnamese users will gain the ability to conduct QR payments in Korea through local apps.

Seok Lee, CEO of GLN, highlighted the significance of this launch in connecting Korea and Vietnam under a unified QR infrastructure, focusing on simplicity and efficiency for travelers. GLN, a subsidiary of Hana Bank and a leader in cross-border payment infrastructure, serves 14 Asian countries, with global access to over 200 million QR merchants.
