Gerresheimer AG Under BaFin Audit Scrutiny
Gerresheimer AG faces an audit by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The investigation focuses on the company's recognition of profits from customer contracts in their consolidated financial statements dated November 30, 2024. This scrutiny is particularly concerned with "bill-and-hold" agreements concluded in the final part of the 2024 financial year.
BaFin seeks to determine if these revenues were correctly documented in the 2024 financial year instead of 2025. Gerresheimer stated that its 2024 fiscal year revenues totaled EUR 2.036 billion. Of this, a low double-digit million euro amount arose from bill-and-hold agreements.
Gerresheimer maintains confidence in their accounting practices. CFO Wolf Lehmann emphasizes the importance of transparency and corporate governance, underlining the company's commitment to cooperate fully with BaFin.
