Gerresheimer AG CEO Transition: Uwe Röhrhoff Steps Down

On August 24, 2026, Uwe Röhrhoff resigned as interim CEO of Gerresheimer AG, as announced by the company. Röhrhoff had taken the helm in November 2025 amid challenging times, stabilizing operations during his tenure. His departure precedes the end of his term in October 2026.

Wolf Lehmann, CFO, and board member Achim Schalk will jointly assume Röhrhoff's responsibilities until further notice. The leadership team had successfully negotiated the sale of Gerresheimer's U.S. subsidiary Centor and its global Primary Packaging Plastics business in July 2026. This move significantly enhanced the company's financial standing by optimizing capital structure and reducing leverage.

Dr. Axel Herberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed appreciation for Röhrhoff's contributions to navigating complex challenges and setting Gerresheimer on a sustainable path.
