Gemdale Gold Expands Finnish Exploration Efforts
Gemdale Gold Inc. has secured two new mineral reservations in Finland, according to a recent company announcement. Granted by the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency, these reservations bolster Gemdale's land position in the region, particularly around its Pontio project in western Finland. The 22.19 km² Ranta3 reservation is located in Lapland, near Agnico Eagle's Kittila Gold Mine, while the 56.28 km² Pontio2 reservation expands the company's tenements in western Finland.
Additionally, Gemdale has restarted exploration activities in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt. This resumption comes amid Agnico Eagle's significant acquisition plans in the region, which include Rupert Resources and B2 Gold's interests. Gemdale's exploration focuses on the Ranta and Paksuselka projects.
The company has already commenced summer fieldwork in these areas, exploring the potential for gold mineralization. The newly acquired lands are expected to enhance Gemdale's core assets and exploration pipelines, with upcoming drill programs planned for later in the year.
