GCL SI Empowers Germany's Largest Agrivoltaic Project
GCL System Integration has successfully delivered advanced solar modules for Germany's largest agrivoltaic initiative. The Tützpatz agrivoltaic power station, inaugurated by Vattenfall in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, boasts a capacity of 76 MW over 93 hectares using 146,000 bifacial 550W high-efficiency modules from GCL SI.
Key to the project's success is a 10-year power purchase agreement with PASM, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary, ensuring economic feasibility without public subsidies. GCL's customized solutions provide 15% to 40% light transmittance to balance solar energy and crop growth.
GCL's agrivoltaic management platform integrates AI, enhancing efficiency. This initiative reflects GCL's commitment to sustainability and its competitive edge in the renewable energy sector.
