Galway Metals Welcomes Stephen Poitras to Enhance Estrades Project
Galway Metals Inc. announced that Stephen Poitras has joined as Manager of its Estrades Gold and Zinc Project in Québec. Owned entirely by Galway, Estrades is a high-grade deposit of gold and zinc. Historically developed by Breakwater Resources Ltd., it was mined in the early '90s. Galway is currently preparing a Scoping Study expected by late 2025. Poitras is set to enhance exploration and assess the project's broader potential.
Poitras, a geologist with over 20 years' experience, has been part of several mineral discoveries. His previous roles include mining analyst and portfolio manager at CDPQ. Rob Hinchcliffe, President and CEO of Galway Metals, expressed optimism about Poitras's contribution, especially with rising gold and zinc interests. The project could benefit from two nearby mills, possibly aiding future development.
