Galantas Gold Receives Key Approvals for Andacollo Project

Galantas Gold Corporation has announced that Chile's Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería (SERNAGEOMIN) granted crucial approvals for restarting its Andacollo Gold Project in Coquimbo. This allows the company to resume operations under the previously sanctioned mine design and safety measures. The authorized period for operations is four years from the start of mineral extraction or until the authorized tonnage or capacity is reached.

The approvals cover significant project components, including the Tres Perlas open pit with 11.3 million tonnes remaining, waste-rock facilities with 17.7 million tonnes capacity, and dynamic leach areas. The stability of the heap-leach facility was also noted. Galantas aims to begin production safely and efficiently, with final approvals anticipated soon. However, the project's reactivation depends on further technical reviews and financial considerations.

As Brendan Morris, COO, resigns to explore new opportunities, Galantas focuses on local employment and infrastructure development in Andacollo. While a definitive production decision is pending, the company advances its operational planning and community engagement.
