Galantas Gold Expands Exploration in Chile
Galantas Gold Corporation has expanded its drill program at the Indiana project near Copiapó, Chile, from an initial 5,000 metres to 12,500 metres. This expansion comes after promising visual results of potential disseminated style mineralization, which suggest the presence of new exploration targets. Funded through the company's existing cash reserves, the program aims to explore extensions of existing mineralization and discover new mineralized structures.
Despite encountering some logistical delays due to laboratory backlogs and power outages from severe weather, Galantas continues to focus on assessing discoveries of sulphide mineralization. These findings could signal new forms of mineral deposits, potentially enhancing the project's value. The company's strategy includes testing new targets and further trenching to better understand the geology of the area.
The CEO, Mario Stifano, noted the identification of significant mineralization, including molybdenite, indicative of a fertile ground for expanding the current resource. However, assay results are awaited to confirm potential grades, highlighting the speculative nature of visual assessments.
