Galantas Gold Announces New Significant Shareholder
On August 26, 2026, Galantas Gold Corporation (TSX-V:GAL)(AIM:GAL) reported a major share acquisition by Alpayana S.A.C. On August 21, 2026, Alpayana purchased 91,313,890 common shares at CAD$0.42 each, totaling CAD$38,351,833.80, through a private agreement. This acquisition gives Alpayana a 10.97% stake in Galantas, making it a substantial shareholder under AIM rules.
Before this transaction, Alpayana held no shares in Galantas. CEO Mario Stifano expressed enthusiasm for Alpayana joining as a strategic long-term shareholder. He emphasized Alpayana's four-decade experience in responsible mining operations in Peru and Mexico. Stifano views this investment as an endorsement of Galantas’ strategic direction.
