Funding Circle Enhances FlexiPay with Renewed Funding
Funding Circle, a major UK SME finance platform, has renewed its funding agreement, boosting the facility for FlexiPay to £320 million from £240 million. This renewed agreement now spans a two-year duration, highlighting continued institutional investor confidence in Funding Circle's credit technology and assessment capabilities.
The capital-light strategy allows Funding Circle to enhance its FlexiPay service, which includes a flexible payment product and a cashback credit card. As of December 2025, FlexiPay's assets under management were £206 million, representing significant growth and 7% of the company’s portfolio.
The recent surge follows a successful 2025, where FlexiPay transactions increased by 66% to £815 million. Since its 2024 beta launch, the credit card has seen numerous updates including accounting integrations and support for Apple Pay and Google Pay.
