Fulcrum Metals Secures Pilot Site and Technology Agreement
Fulcrum Metals Plc has announced the acquisition of a site in Mississauga, Ontario, and the signing of a Pilot Scale Demonstration Agreement with Extrakt Process Solutions and Test Design Implement Solutions. This marks a significant step for Fulcrum in its development of a scalable platform aimed at recovering metals from mine waste, using a cyanide-free technology.
The pilot facility is crucial for the successful execution of the Teck-Hughes program, which is a pivotal factor for securing a proposed $20 million financing from Chancery Royalty Ltd. Fulcrum aims to commission the 12,526 square foot facility by the end of Q4 2026, allowing it flexibility and space for operation expansions.
The agreement with Extrakt grants TDI the ability to operate and demonstrate the cyanide-free technology at the facility, accelerating multi-project developments. Fulcrum will retain rights to the data generated, ensuring future commercial and financial strategizing.
The pilot site is strategically positioned to support the growth of Fulcrum's projects, starting with Teck-Hughes and Sylvanite, while extending opportunities across more than 70 documented tailings sites in Ontario.
