FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group SE, a leader in energy infrastructure, has acquired Meter-Q Solutions GmbH, significantly enhancing its technology capabilities in gas and hydrogen infrastructure. The acquisition, effective from August 1, 2026, is pending approval by Meter-Q's creditors. The acquisition will see meterQ's operations continue as a part of VORWERK Gas Technology, underscoring meterQ's role in advanced gas quality measurement and analysis.

Founded in 2014, meterQ specializes in innovative systems for measuring and analyzing natural gas, hydrogen, and biogas. Known for their technological advancements, meterQ's solutions are widely used across German network operators. A standout innovation is the MGCdirect gas chromatograph, which reduces natural gas emissions by reinjecting surplus measuring gas directly into pipelines.

This acquisition enhances VORWERK's expertise, aiming for growth in energy infrastructure transformation. It aligns with the group's strategic goals, leveraging meterQ's technology in response to increasing demands for precise gas quality analysis amidst energy network transformations.
