Fractus Expands U.S. Connected Safety Licensing via RPX Agreement

Fractus, a leader in antenna technology and IP licensing, has announced a new patent licensing agreement with RPX Corporation. This agreement expands Fractus' licensing within the U.S., targeting the connected safety devices market. These devices rely on high-performance, multiband antennas. The deal allows multiple implementers to engage under one negotiation, achieving an efficient licensing process aligned with Fractus' models.

The collaboration with RPX reflects a streamlined approach, avoiding legal entanglements and facilitating smoother transactions. According to CEO Jordi Ilario, the agreement supports the growing momentum of connected safety devices in the U.S., adding reputable providers to Fractus' network.

The demand for these devices is increasing, driven by evolving markets. Berg Insights predicts a rise from 36 million active monitored alarm systems in 2023 to 42.9 million by 2028 in North America. The medical alert system user base is also expected to grow significantly.
