FOTON Motor Sets Ambitious Global Expansion Plans

FOTON Motor hosted its 2026 Global Partners Conference in Beijing, themed "Drive to Great," attended by over 2,000 participants from more than 140 countries. The event marked a strategic upgrade as FOTON aims to become a leading global commercial vehicle enterprise. At the conference, FOTON's Chairman Chang Rui unveiled the company's Global Strategy Report, aiming for over 50% of its lineup to be new energy vehicles by 2030, with overseas sales exceeding 300,000 units.

FOTON plans to build more than 10 industrial bases in regions such as Thailand, Brazil, and the EU over the next five years. Brazil and South Africa are key markets, with notable advancements including the production of new light trucks and significant investments in local assembly plants.

FOTON's strategy includes embracing new energy and intelligent technologies, highlighted by innovations such as the IECO system and advanced telematics. By 2026, the company targets 200,000 units in overseas sales, emphasizing heavy-duty trucks and new energy vehicles.
