First Canadian Graphite Kicks Off Exploration at Lac Guéret South
First Canadian Graphite Inc. has launched field exploration activities at its Lac Guéret South Project in Québec. The initiative focuses on newly identified targets from recent surveys. Crews are particularly targeting Zone 13, a new kilometre-scale electromagnetic anomaly, along with Zone 1, Zone 4, and Zone 6, areas noted for high-grade graphite from prior drilling. The program aims to fast-track drill target selection for a planned fall diamond drilling campaign. This marks a crucial step in exploiting the district-scale potential of the project.
Program activities include ground-truthing, prospecting, and geological mapping. Systematic grab sampling and structural analysis are also underway to assess graphite quality. This work will guide a resource drilling program planned for late 2026. The project, positioned near a major graphite deposit, remains vital for energy transition needs and supply chain security. It underlines the company's commitment to advancing critical mineral exploration in a strategic location.
