FinnCobalt Collaborates on EUMINDA to Enhance European Mining Practices

Eurobattery Minerals AB announced that its Finnish subsidiary, FinnCobalt Oy, is joining the EUMINDA project. This EU-funded initiative seeks to improve the management of mine closure and long-term impacts in European regions. Recently, FinnCobalt participated in EUMINDA's Interregional Meeting in Greece, engaging with various European stakeholders.

The project emphasizes international cooperation for sharing knowledge and strengthening governance frameworks. Involvement in EUMINDA reflects Eurobattery's commitment to responsible mining, incorporating restoration from the project's onset. According to Ilari Kinnunen of FinnCobalt, discussing restoration before mining begins aligns with modern responsible mining practices.

FinnCobalt is involved through the Regional Council of North Karelia, contributing to a roadmap for a responsible mineral economy. CEO Roberto García Martínez highlighted the importance of responsible mining for public trust and investment, emphasizing that initiatives like EUMINDA support modern European mining's credibility.
