Faraday Copper Corp. Announces Acquisition of San Manuel Project
Faraday Copper Corp. has finalized the acquisition of the San Manuel project from a BHP Group subsidiary. This project is near Faraday's Copper Creek in Arizona, forming the Redhawk Copper Complex. This move is intended to be transformative, consolidating assets to create a major undeveloped copper district in the U.S.
Faraday aims to establish significant copper production capabilities by leveraging San Manuel's private land and infrastructure. They plan to initiate a 24,000-meter drilling program to validate historical mineral resource estimates at the San Manuel and Kalamazoo deposits.
The acquisition sees BHP becoming a strategic investor, holding 32% of Faraday's common shares. New board members from BHP, Elaina Ware and Dominic Perrottet, have been appointed, enhancing corporate governance.
