Exail secures a €40 million order for K-STER drones

Exail, a specialist in defense technologies, has announced the signing of a major contract for the supply of several hundred K-STER underwater drones. This order, worth €40 million, is destined for several navies, although their identities remain confidential. It is Exail's second largest order, following a previous €60 million order in 2024.

K-STER drones are designed for mine-neutralization missions, functioning as expendable devices destroyed in service. They are an integral part of the UMIS mine clearance system. Exail, with a portfolio of over 1,000 autonomous drones, plans to produce these devices in Ostend, Belgium.
