EXACOMPTA CLAIREFONTAINE Reports Decline in 2025 Financial Results
At its recent meeting, the Board of Directors of EXACOMPTA CLAIREFONTAINE approved the financial results for the year ending 31 December 2025. The company witnessed a decline in revenue, posting €802,450,000 compared to €831,274,000 in 2024. Net income after tax also fell from €31,456,000 to €21,617,000. The reduction in earnings was attributed to consumer caution and a shift in demand towards entry-level products.
The paper segment showed stability in production volumes despite a 5% decrease in sales of uncoated paper in Western Europe. However, the company faced increased energy costs by 17%. In the processing segment, the stationery market saw declines, with the UK and Germany experiencing significant drops in certain categories. Despite these challenges, school supplies and office articles displayed resilience.
Looking ahead, the company anticipates further pressure on earnings in 2026 due to ongoing weak commercial demand and rising commodity and energy prices. The Board plans to recommend a dividend of €7.10 per share at the upcoming General Meeting.
