on EVN AG (ETR:EVN)

EVN AG Reports Mixed Results for First Three Quarters of 2024/25

EVN AG experienced a decline in earnings due to challenges in renewable generation and regulatory factors in Southeast Europe during the first three quarters of 2024/25. Despite this, the company observed a 5% increase in revenue, reaching EUR 2,360.4 million. Positive effects from distribution networks and energy supply businesses in Bulgaria and North Macedonia contributed to this growth. Higher energy demands, driven by cooler temperatures, also played a role. However, revenues from renewable generation and gas trading declined.

Investment activities rose by 22%, focusing on network infrastructure and renewable projects. Two photovoltaic parks were commissioned, adding a total of 9.4 MWp. EBITDA improved by 14.2% to EUR 713.6m, though financial results dropped significantly, mainly due to reduced dividends from Verbund AG and foreign exchange effects. Consequently, the net result fell by 9.4% year-on-year to EUR 434.7m.

For the 2024/25 year, EVN aims for a net result between EUR 400m and EUR 440m, maintaining a stable dividend policy.
