Stock price chart of EUTELSAT COMMUNICATIONS (EPA:ETL) showing fluctuations.

Eutelsat Communications has initiated a €670 million rights issue as part of a broader €1.5 billion capital raise. This move aims to fortify the company's financial structure and support its strategic ambitions, including the expansion of its low Earth orbit satellite operations and the IRIS2 constellation. The rights issue will offer new shares at €1.35 each in a subscription ratio of 8 new shares for every 11 held. Major stakeholders, including the French State and Bharti Space Ltd, are committing approximately 71% of the raise.

Proceeds will be used to reduce debt and support investments estimated at €4 billion from 2026 to 2029. Alongside capital increases, Eutelsat is also refinancing its bank and bond debts. New shares will trade on Euronext Paris from December 16, 2025, with UK trading to follow on December 17. This issue is underwritten by a bank syndicate and targets financial stability and growth.
