ESTEVE CDMO Expands Manufacturing with New Investment in China

ESTEVE CDMO has announced a major investment exceeding $80 million to bolster its manufacturing footprint in China. This initiative involves the relocation, expansion, and modernization of its operations in Shaoxing, aimed at increasing production capacity and integrating advanced technologies. The new facility includes three manufacturing workshops totaling a reaction volume of 250 m³, with space reserved for an additional 150+ m³ to adapt to future needs. This development strengthens ESTEVE's capacity to support pharmaceutical clients globally.

Having operated in China for over two decades, ESTEVE reaffirms its commitment to the region with this expansion. The Shaoxing site forms a vital part of a global network that includes facilities in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, supporting various pharmaceutical technologies such as Spray Drying and HPAPI manufacturing. This strategic move not only enhances ESTEVE's reach but also aligns with the company's goals of environmental sustainability, as evidenced by the site's "Very Good" BREEAM rating.
